It’s not hard to see why Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber bonded so quickly! Both come from smaller towns, were raised by single moms and have had their fair share of drama.
Lately, that drama has been getting worse for Justin. Between internet death hoaxes, fake feud reports and general haters bashing him, he feels very lucky to have found a supportive friend in Selena. “I love Selena and I love her music,” Justin tells M Magazine. “When I first met her, it was just great.”
From the day Selena let Justin into her heart, he’s been able to make her smile, even during her darkest hour. As Selena navigates her friend break-up with Demi Lovato, she counts on Justin to bring a dose of positivity into her life.
“Mom made me turn the depressing music off and put on ‘One Time’ by my boy Justin Bieber,” Selena Twittered one difficult day. “Why does he always put me in a good mood?” Although these two are getting closer by the day, for now, Selena and Justin are staying buds.
“I think she’s cute,” spills Justin. “But Selena’s just a good friend!”
