Justin ran up to his room and slammed his door. He was fuming and could barely hold back his anger his mom, Pattie Mallette, had just grounded him, “My mom and I argue, but I think every parent and child does. She grounds me if I’m being disrespectful,” Justin explains.
Justin loves his mom more than anything, but sometimes he just feels so claustrophobic with all the rules she gives him. “Sometimes I need a break because I’m with her 24/7,” Justin Says. But now that Justin’s getting older and in a pretty serious relationship, will his mom ever be able to let go?

Considering he’s 17 and is the main source of her income, she does need to loosen the reins. If it weren’t for him, she’d probably still be struggling.
He does need to respect her though, because she does help him a lot, and raised him and supported his interests.
You should always respect ur parents, I respect mine because one day they will be gone and all u will have is the bad memories!!!!

Pattie is being a good mother. Think about what Justin could have done by now if his mom was doing what she is, he could be into drugs, cigarrets, or anything bad. She is doing this for him, keeping him grounded. If it weren’t for her, he’d probably be in jail or something bad. She’s just keeping him from the bad. She’s being a good mother, even if it means him being grounded. Its life, justin.
Your mom is just trying to do the best for you you guys had the best relationship! Your mom is way more important then Selena I respect you dating but you just have to think your mom has always been there for you and Selena hasnt!

She’s just being a good mom. She still has every right to ground him. He’s not an adult yet. And she’s only doing it because she loves him…he’s a mamas boy, what do you expect? Just because he’s famous doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be treated normal. There’s nothing wrong with him getting grounded. Until he’s 18 Pattie has every right to do what she’s doing. I see no wrong in it at all. Yea he’s growing up but he still needs boundaries and guidelines to follow to keep him on the right path…of course he’s going to doing bad things like everyone else but as long as he learns from his mistakes he’ll be fine. One day when he’s all grown with his own family he’s gonna look back and thank his mom…he’s gonna realize she did all this because she loved him and when his kids are older he’ll realize how hard it is and how his mom had done the right thing.
I honestly think pattie is a great mom. She’s given up everything for Justin…she gave up her childhood for him! She doesn’t care about the money or the fame, she cares about Justin, who he’ll become in the near future, how he is gonna handle life…she loves Justin with all her heart. It may be hard to let go but it’ll happen one day and hopefully she will be amazed at who she had patented. Hopefully she will be proud enough to say “that right there, is my son”. With a big smile just like any proud mama should(:

He said he wanted to be normal some, normal kids get grounded she has been there with him through everything and more. She is doing a great job being a parent. So Justin i understand you are getting older an you want room but you have to realize that you are you mom’s only son, it will be very hard for her to let you go!

Justin is lucky to have a mom like that, I mean with out her he would hav never been born!! She’s just doing wat a mom does!! I think pattie is good mom. I know how Justin feels. My mom is SUPER overprotective and it drives me nuts. There’s a difference between being being a good parent and being overprotective.
shes a mom thts what they do but i understand where pattie is coming from……. when u c pics of ure son grabbing his gf’s butt , making out like theres no tommarow,and coming home with tatoos, when ure a parent ure natural instink is 2 go into over-protective mode…..we all kno tht justin’s changed (in a bad way) so its pattie’s job is 2 guide him back in the right direction……pretty soon justin will open his eyes and thank his mom 4 everything b-cuz if she wasn’t there he would b a hot mess………..BUT then again pattie needs 2 trust him and let him learn from his mistakes cuz if she doesnt trust him there gonna end up right back where they started.
