The 2013 GRAMMY Awards nominations have been announced last night. And Justin Bieber is not in the list of the nominees. See full list.
Justin has been vocal on his desire to win a Grammy. Working hard on new music and even releasing material that competes with current artists, it is a shocker that he wasn’t nominated in a major category. Add insult to injury, Carly Rae Jepsen has two Grammy nominations and she was introduced to the fans by Justin. 
Beliebers were not happy, and so is Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun — he shares his thoughts in a series of critical tweets after the nods were announced.

What I heard on the news about this is that Justin is still considered a teen star and didn’t fully transition over to an adult sound. Yeah it would be cool to see him win a grammy but I think that its not his time because he hasn’t reached his full potential in his music yet, he’s still learning. I do believe that his music could go far and beyond any young artist that has been around. With all the new music he’s writing and emotions he’s going through no doubt he will have his nominations for a grammy. It’s all about timing and patients.

But I can see why some people still might not take him seriously as an adult musician. His sound and lyrics are very much still teen pop. He should write more mature lyrics and develop a grown-up (R&B) sound. Next year will probably be the year he gets a Grammy.

Michael Jackson, who won 13 Grammy awards,won his first at the age of 21 or 22. As a member of the Jackson Five he and they were nominated twice but did not win. Keep in mind Justin is only 18 and already has accomplished a lot with more to go. He has the drive and ambition and talent to produce even better performances and music in the future.

A group of mainly middle age insiders select the winners of the Grammy who claim to base it on quality or merits but I am sure they have their bias in regard to what they like-everybody does. I think they look down on the music of people like Justin or One Direction considering it to be music for pre-teens. However, why they chose Carly’s album over the others does not make sense since there is one memorable song in it-Call Me maybe The albums of One Direction and Justin have more and better music. Some of Their choices in the past have also been controversial.
The Grammys are stupid and don’t know shit about anything. Poor Justin he deserved to win or at least get nominated!
