Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus – Most Charitable Celebrity 2012

DoSomething.org released its annual list of “Celebs Gone Good,” which names the top 20 stars who were the most charitable of the year.

Taylor Swift won the nod because she donated $4 million to the Country Hall of Fame museum. The non-profit also recognized her for being the youngest recipient of the Ripple of Hope Award, which she received at the Robert F. Kennedy Center earlier this month. She also work for young people battling cancer among many others.

Miley Cyrus was recognised for her work with non-profit animal activist group Saving Spot! Rescue. The organisation finds homes for dogs in kill shelters. Miley has also worked with Save The Music Foundation, the Starkey Hearing Foundation and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Channing Tatum helped raise millions for the Rainforest Foundation. He also support Angels for Animals and sponsor abused farm animals through Gentle Barn.

Lady Gaga started her Born This Way Foundation, which combats bullying and promotes acceptance of the LGBT community. In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, the she pledged $1 million to relief efforts.

Justin Bieber rounded out the top five, honored for his work with Pencils of Promise and his Believe Charity Drive.

      Totally agree we don’t love our sweet Justin Bieber for his good looks and musical talent but for his heart too. His heart is just as big as his fanbase.

        Yes. I did once, It was about a year ago, and I dreamed that I went to his concert. In fact, I was really close to the stage that I couldn’t see.. It was quite blurry. I supposently went with my class at school on a field trip. But yeah, That was my dream. I hope I have other one’s sometime.

        I dream about Justin. I’m always Justin’s 15 year old sister. He’s always my 18 year old brother. It might seem weird, but I fangirl over him in reality, but in my dreams I love him as my brother. :)

        I’m 15 too #Believe In Biebah and I dream that he is my older brother too!!! I thought that I was the only one who dreamed about that and I thought people would think that I was strange!!! I dream about him being my 18 year old brother, because I know he would never date a minor. It is going to be worse when he is 19, because there is going to be an even more age difference.

    Of course…….I knew that Taylor Swift was and by the looks of it always WILL be 1st on anything related to charity well I guess she deserved cause I’ve never seen any celebrity take out so much of time of their music career for charitable work. Well its nice to see celebs like Juju <3 to take time out and actually use their money for charitable reasons.

      I noticed! If your talking about that picture of Selena in the red dress, with her hair open, and she’s on sand. But, I think Justin didn’t post that pic. Because on twitter, there’s pics of Chaz’s comment under Selena’s photo, and he said that he posted that. But, even if Chaz did post that pic, Justin didn’t delete it. Anyways, as Kingsley said, “Lord, free us from the drama of Jelena!” So yeah, lol. But, did you see what Justin commented?! There was this pic of a guy, he was shirtless, and had nice abs, and Justin commented, “U look fat” & on another he commented, “Nice shirt, douchebag.” That isn’t very nice, than again it could’ve been someone’s pic he knew or maybe his Instagram got hacked. Or, maybe he was drunk… o.O Lol, idk. But, yeah I saw the Selena pic.

    Taylor Swift is always first but I’m glad she is because out of everyone on the list, including Justin, she’s all I ever see donating to charities. I know Justin and obviously the people on the list do it too but it’s usually Taylor I see donating often.

    Justin has such a big heart! One of the biggest I’ve ever seen!! All the haters think we only like him for his hair and appearance, but no. I mean, we ALL lovveeeee him for that, but his generosity and kindness towards others is amazing ! <3 LOVE YOU KIDRAUHL!!
