Earlier this month James Franco recorded a parody of Justin Bieber‘s hit song “Boyfriend,” posting the music video to his WhoSay account (. The video was celebrated by Franco fans and even Justin’s ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.
James Franco said in an interview with E! at Sundance:
“I was asked to take it down by some people. Bieber didn’t contact me, but I don’t think he was too happy. I wasn’t trying to diss him.”
The video has Franco emulating Bieber, rocking a hoodie, flat-brim hat, and the teen sensation’s trademark bangs. Watch the video:

Well, that parody wasn’t the best one I’ve ever seen. Which is why I ignored it. But I think that some people (or a lot of people) overreacted. The people that didn’t respond are the mature people. Don’t understand why James had to apologize, not all parodies are meant to diss people. I guess he just figured that since some immature people overreacted that everyone did. But whatever.
