Madame Tussauds Sydney revealed Justin Bieber as the latest star to take permanent pride of place in the Sydney attraction. Justin stands alongside Rihanna, Kylie Minogue and Michael Jackson in the music zone at Madame Tussauds Sydney, Australia.
The Sydney Justin Bieber figure represents him most up-to-date look, depicting his most recent hair style and fashion choices.
Justin already featured in six Madame Tussauds attractions across the globe. It took a team of 60 Madame Tussauds’ sculptors and artists over 800 hours to master the seventh wax figure of Justin. When the original sitting took place in 2010, members of the team flew to the Biebs in Nashville to take a series of hundreds of measurements to make sure that everything would be as lifelike as possible for dedicated beliebers.
Special attention was paid to Bieber’s infamous hairstyle with each strand inserted one-by-one. Now, seven figures later, no other Madame Tussauds venue features Bieber with his new hairstyle – a style that told the world he was now ready to be treated as an adult.
General Manager at Madame Tussauds Sydney, Hywel Mathias said:
“We know that Justin Bieber has a loyal fan base that will expect to see only the most lifelike wax replica. They have insisted on a wax figure of the pop star and our team have had to ensure that they only produced the best. We are thrilled with the results as are the entire Bieber camp. We are all really excited to see what the fans think of this modern version of Justin. I’m confident that they will be blown away.”
Justin’s brown eyes were made by hand to ensure the shade was just right; the irises were hand painted on to a fibreglass eyeball and red silk thread then added to ensure the finished product is completely lifelike.
Madame Tussauds Sydney is the 13th Madame Tussauds in the world and the fifth in Asia Pacific – joining its highly successful sister attractions in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Bangkok.
