CNN’s Don Lemon Blames Black People for Justin Bieber’s Racist Joke Scandal

In a blog post for BlackAmericaWeb.com, CNN Anchor Don Lemon responds to two videos that showed Justin Bieber using the N-Word.

Some are saying Bieber is racist. Is he? I don’t know.

But I do know that this is the danger of the proliferation of the use of the n-word. Clearly Justin Bieber, a young man who by the way, has immersed himself in black, Hip Hop culture should not be saying the n-word.

So the question is, if you want people like Justin Bieber to stop using (N-word) and to stop making excuses for using it, shouldn’t you (African American) do the same?

Why is he blaming black people for the reason he said the ‘n’ word? idegi

  • me

ok. um its true jst cuz he says the n word doenst make him racist everybody says it nd if you guys havent noticed almost all his friends are black..

  • Melanie

I know he he not racist but before he became famous he liked to listen to Usher everything else and he even likes Beyonce’ but did he said twice thinking it is funny like if you hear the N word think of it as a bad word which he shouldn’t of said it so idk.

I do think that he hangs out with black people often but their his BFFs and he has fun with them and they support him so i think he should hang out with who ever he wants :)

  • Lailani

Wow, he needs to get over it.

  • Hannah bieber

Just bcuzz he said the N word doesn’t make him racist. Everybody says it. I say it all the time. I call my friends my nigga and their not even black lol but yea people need to get over it.

    • Lailani

That was like five years ago people get over it.

  • Amen and A-M-E-N

And amen! Don Lemon thanks for speaking up! Nuff said, people should listen up.

  • Maddi Bieber

I think what he’s trying to get at is that since every second word that comes out African- American people’s mouth is the n-word, well pretty much anyway. And since they say it, it seems fair enough for white people to say it. So if you want white people to stop saying the n-word, then maybe African American people should stop saying it. Then everything will resolve itself. Pretty much

I have to agree.. Everyone should stop using the N word.. It’s no wonder teens today think it’s not such a big deal when they hear it anymore considering they hear it so much now in music, and other places. That word has lost it’s sting among today’s youth and it is because they have grown up hearing it so much.

I think some people when they wake up every morning the first thing that comes to their minds is how am I going to make justin bieber life hell on earth today and the next day.
