One of K-pop’s brightest stars has linked up with one of the world’s biggest pop singers. G-Dragon, the leader of popular boy band BIGBANG, and Justin Bieber have recorded a track together.
When asked about a Bieber collaboration during a press conference before the 2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards, G-Dragon revealed the project:
To be honest, we’re already finished with the recording. I think the song will come out sometime next year.
But more than it being a really big project, I think it’ll be an album where artists with the same heart decided to have fun. It was less burdensome than a big album, so I’ll be able to show a better song to the fans. If you have anticipation for it, I’ll reply with an album that will meet those expectations.
Justin and D-Dragon hung out when he was in South Korea last month for a stop on his “Believe” tour. D-Dragon was a special guest performer at the concert.
Justin Bieber and R. Kelly have recorded a single together. Justin will release the collaboration on Monday (Nov18) as part of his Music Mondays series.
R. Kelly told Vibe magazine:
I just did a song [with Justin]. He just called me to do a song, and it’s hot.
He wanted to go and do some R&B stuff, so we got together and did that.
The title of the track – the 7th in Justin’s series of reveals, which have mostly been mid-tempo tracks about love and heartbreak – is yet to be announced.
R. Kelly hopped into the studio with Justin after his collaboration with Lady Gaga on the track ‘Do What U Want’ on her new album ‘Artpop’.
During their recent interview with The Hot Hits, the interviewer asked the boys from One Direction: Who would they want to work with? Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber?

The Wanted have confirmed they recorded tracks with Justin Bieber and Rita Ora that didn’t make the cut for their upcoming album, “Word Of Mouth.”
Speaking to MTV News UK, band member Jay McGuiness revealed:
We did record some songs with Rita Ora and Justin Bieber that are not on the album.
Will you ever hear them in the not-too-distant future? I hope so, but I don’t know if they’re going to be singles or on an album. I think you need a crystal ball or two to know that.
Other band member Tom Parker joked that Justin was crushed about his track not making it onto the new LP. Tom said:
I think Bieber did cry when he found out that he wasn’t going to be on our album, but what can you do?
We said ‘Dude, we know you’re up and coming and we’d love to help you out, but we’ve got artistic credibility we need to worry about.
Justin Bieber and The Wanted share a manager in Scooter Braun, who also looks after band member Nathan Sykes new ladylove Ariana Grande.
The Wanted long-awaited new album “Word Of Mouth” is set for release in the UK on November 4.
