Though Justin didn’t win any awards or turn in any performances, it was still an excellent Grammy night for him. During the pre-show, he wowed viewers with his “Guitar Hero” skills and managed to juggle both “Livin’ on a Prayer” on “Expert” difficulty and an interview with Ryan Seacrest. When the show got started, he appeared on the broadcast next to Ke$ha, and the two of them encouraged people to vote for which Bon Jovi song the band should perform later (in one of the night’s funnier moments, Bieber said “Beyoncé” when he was supposed to say “Bon Jovi,” which he followed up with the killer recovery line “Sorry, Beyoncé is always on my mind — sorry, Jay”).

When he wasn’t performing in some capacity, he was getting photos taken with various stars, admirers and fellow countrymen. Just as he did with Celine Dion and Jordin Sparks back when he was making the holiday festival rounds, Bieber tweeted various photos featuring himself and some of his new all-star friends. The best of those featured Bieber sandwiched in between Lil Wayne and Drake. “Drake my fellow Canadian and Weezy baby!” he wrote. “Ya dig?”

Bieber wasn’t just thinking about Beyoncé — he also got a picture with her. And a spin through the photos taken at last night’s show reveals that Bieber sidled up to the Jonas Brothers, Lionel Richie, Adam Sandler, Fergie and Slash. The singer’s other tweets revealed that he met legends in both the R&B and hip-hop worlds. “Just met LL cool J and Smokey Robinson!” he wrote. “This is crazy. They knew who I was. Can’t believe it.” With more hits on the horizon and My World Part II coming soon, you can bet that Bieber can already book his flight to next year’s Grammys.
