Does Justin know what the word “German” means? Yes, that’s right, the word “German.” Not how to speak German, but the actual word.
During an interview on a New Zealand TV show, the host asked Bieber what his last name means in German (see video below). While we wouldn’t expect Bieber to know this, we did expect him to know what the word German means. Maybe it was the Kiwi accent? But then Bieber looks at the host’s card, and still doesn’t understand the word, saying “We don’t say that in America.”
After the media’s shock at Bieber’s lack of knowledge, JB responded on his Twitter, yesterday, claiming he thought the host said “Jewman.” (Although that wouldn’t explain why he couldn’t read it on the card.)
Justin linked to an old interview video where he counts in German to prove his point.
“Guess home schooling is working out. Do your research next time b4 making a lame attempt at hating on a 16 year old,” he tweeted.
FYI, Justin went to Germany last year. So he must know German more than the haters.
